Directions

1. The first and foremost step is to prepare the grill to grill the chicken later. Clean the cooking grates by brushing them. For direct cooking, heat the grill at high temperature at about 232 degrees celsius.

2. Trickle olive oil or any other vegetable oil of your choice on to the chicken breast or any other pieces of chicken. Rub the oil over the chicken and generously season it with salt and black pepper.

3. Now, place the chicken breast or any other pieces of chicken on the hot grill and cover. For 5 to 6 minutes, cook the chicken or until the pieces of chicken can easily release from the grates. After that, flip the chicken and cook for another 4 to 5 minutes.

4. Apply or baste the chicken with BBQ sauce. Further cook for 2 minutes after flipping the chicken (Some chicken pieces may take more time, 20 to 30 minutes may be required to prepare). Repeat the same thing on to the other side.

5. Continue brushing the chicken with the sauce and cook until the chicken pieces feel firm upon touching them and opaque all the way through.

6. Place a piece of aluminum foil on the plate and transfer the cooked chicken on to the aluminum foil and cover. For 5 minutes, let the chicken rest, and if you desire, serve it with BBQ sauce.

WHAT CAN YOU DO WITH THE LEFTOVERS?

If there’s any BBQ chicken left, then you store it in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days, or it will last for a couple of months in the freezer.

Leftover grilled BBQ chicken can also be utilized in a variety of ways. Some of the ideas are as follows:

1. You can top a caesar salad with grilled BBQ chicken.

2. You can bake potatoes to eat with the grilled chicken.

3. A wrap or a sandwich can also be made by adding a variety of vegetables.

4. One can never get tired of cheese. Right? You can sprinkle shredded cheddar on top of the chicken to make it cheesy.
