STEPS TO MAKE OREO DONUTS:
1. Start your work by preheating the oven at 177 degrees celsius. Take two standard donut pans and lightly grease it.
2. Next, take a bowl and integrate all the dry ingredients, i.e., all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, and salt. Set this bowl aside.
3. Now, take another bowl and combine all the wet ingredients, i.e., vanilla, vinegar, eggs, and milk. Pour this amalgamation of wet ingredients into the dry ingredients bowl with melted butter and crushed oreo cookies. Stir nicely until well combined.
4. Scoop the donuts batter and pour it into the donut molds. Make sure to fill about ¾ full.
5. For about 10 to 12 minutes, bake the donuts, or until the toothpicke you inserted, to check the oreo donuts comes out clean. Once cooked, let the oreo donuts cool for about five minutes. Then turn the donut pans over to remove the oreo donuts.
STEPS TO MAKE CREAM CHEESE ICING:
1. Take a medium-size bowl and combine the following ingredients, i.e., sugar, milk, vanilla, and cream cheese. Mix these constituents until smooth and well combined. Keep in mind that the mixture will be thick.
2. Now, dip the tops of the oreo donuts into the cream cheese icing you just prepared. Or you can use a spoon to spread this thick icing over donuts.
3. Sprinkle the oreo donuts with crushed oreo cookies and let it sit for twenty minutes or until the cream cheese icing is hardened.
4. Serve it immediately once the icing is hardened. Donuts taste best when they are eaten on the same day they are made.
RECIPE NOTES:
1. Avoid over-mixing the batter of oreo donuts, especially after combining the wet and dry ingredients.
2. Also, avoid over-baking the donuts. Oreo donuts should be fluffy and slightly springy when touched.
3. If you are lactose intolerant, then switch whole milk with almond or soy milk.
